By Lenon Lim Jun Jie, Metta Welfare Association (Arts@Metta)
Lenon created a watercolour painting to celebrate SG60, drawing inspiration from his favourite dessert, Ice Kacang. The vibrant colours of the Ice Kacang symbolise Singapore's rich cultural harmony, with each syrupy hue representing a different aspect of the nation’s harmonious blend of cultures. To add a playful touch, an otter, a cherished local icon, is featured running the old-school Ice Kacang machine. This lively and imaginative masterpiece reflects Lenon's joyful celebration of Singapore's 60th anniversary in a fun and colourful way.
