Hibiscus

The hibiscus, a delicate bloom from the mallow family, graces the canvas in hues of gold, rose, and sapphire. Each petal unfolds, soft yet vibrant, held gently by a cradle of green.
Though varied in colour, the blossoms breathe in harmony, a quiet trio swaying in painted stillness. The elegance lies in their simplicity, and a quiet strength in their form — a reminder that beauty often speaks in the gentlest of tones.

Tan Beng Leong, Daniel suffered a spinal cord injury in 1982, leaving him with Quadriplegia. Despite the challenges of his new reality, Daniel found a way to express himself through art. Using a brush in his mouth, he began painting, turning what could have been a limitation into a powerful form of self-expression. His artwork reflects his strength, resilience, and determination, showing that creativity can thrive even in the face of adversity.
