By Vincent Seet (Seet Kie Hong)
This painting depicts friends of diverse ethnicities and beliefs coming together in joyful celebration, each expressing their unique cultures and faiths through traditional dances. Encircling this harmonious gathering are symbols of national pride: Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower; the Crimson Sunbird, its unofficial national bird; and the Common Rose, the unofficial national butterfly. Together, they reflect the beauty of unity in diversity and the shared identity that connects all who call Singapore home.
