City Lights in Play

Inspired by the vibrant night atmosphere of Marina Bay Sands, this painting captures the playful interaction between light, water, and the city skyline. Reflections from the light show shimmer across the bay while silhouettes of people gather, pose, and take photographs against the glowing backdrop. The artwork celebrates play as a shared urban experience, where strangers become connected through moments of wonder, movement, and collective joy.

For Gabriel, art is a warm space of colour, wonder and imagination where everyday moments become stories. Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), he expresses himself through painting, sculpting and writing, often depicting animals and meaningful places. His journey with Shaping Hearts began through his art therapist and teacher, Karyn, where he found a safe space to grow in confidence. In 2024, he shared his creative process publicly and continues to develop his artistic practice.
