By Tan Beng Leong, Daniel, Mouth and Foot Painting Artists
A single vase cradles a chorus of colour: bold reds, bright yellows, soft pinks, and deep blues. Each bloom is distinct, yet when held together produces a graceful harmony. Each colour carries its own meaning: warmth, hope, love, remembrance —woven together in a fleeting moment of stillness.
About
Tan Beng Leong, Daniel suffered a spinal cord injury in 1982, leaving him with Quadriplegia. Despite the challenges of his new reality, Daniel found a way to express himself through art. Using a brush in his mouth, he began painting, turning what could have been a limitation into a powerful form of self-expression. His artwork reflects his strength, resilience, and determination, showing that creativity can thrive even in the face of adversity.
