By Nicholas Pang, Artzillions
This artwork captures the vibrant and dynamic presence of Oriental Pied-Hornbills in Singapore’s natural landscape. The graceful movement of these majestic birds, both in flight and at rest, is beautifully highlighted, symbolising their resilience and adaptability. Amidst the hum of urbanisation, their presence serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between nature and city life. A celebration of Singapore’s rich biodiversity, it honours the beauty of wildlife thriving in even the most unexpected corners of the city.
About
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of three, Nicholas embarked on his journey with early intervention and specialised behavioural therapy. With the support of a dedicated teacher and friends at Mulberry Preschool, he gradually developed the skills and confidence to engage fully with the world around him, even taking part in year-end concerts. To provide him with a tailored learning environment, his transition to Primary One was delayed by two years. Now in his second year of primary school in 2025, Nicholas continues to thrive at his own pace within a supportive and inclusive setting.
