Fiddler Crabs

Along the sun-drenched shore, tiny lives move with quiet purpose. The red fiddler crab, blue fiddler crab, and hermit crab pause, eyes locked in a curious and silent exchange. Both fiddler crabs raised their grand claws like a proud little conductor of the sand, while the hermit crab, nestled within its borrowed shell, peered out with quiet caution. In that still moment, beneath the hum of the tide and the golden light of the sun, three small lives acknowledge each other, not as rivals, but as wanderers of the shore, each carrying their own story. It is a simple meeting, yet filled with wonder, a reminder that even the smallest moments can hold a spark of connection and quiet magic.

About

As the only son, Tan Khee Huat was expected to take over his family’s drink stall business. However, in 1993, a traffic accident left him paralysed from the chest down, altering the future he had once envisioned. With the unwavering support of his wife and family, he adjusted to his new reality. It was through mouth painting that Khee Huat discovered a new form of self-expression, turning adversity into a source of strength. His art now reflects his journey, proving that even the most challenging circumstances can ignite creativity and a renewed sense of purpose.
