The artist renders traditional Chinese architecture alongside modern city buildings, weaving history and contemporary urban life into a single cohesive scene. Everyday community life fills the composition with warmth and familiarity, grounding the work in the lived experience of a neighbourhood long considered a cornerstone of Singapore's identity. It is a painting that finds beauty in the harmonious coexistence of old and new.
