"Outstanding" presents a sea of grey, monochromatic umbrellas stretching across the canvas, uniform and indistinct, until a single rainbow umbrella at the centre commands the eye with unmistakable force. The contrast is simple but deeply felt, the lone burst of colour speaking volumes about the experience of standing apart from the crowd. This work reflects an artist who understands the complex emotional terrain of individuality, the loneliness it can carry and the quiet power of being different. It is a celebration of the irreplaceable strength found in being, unmistakably, oneself.

Zer Yinn is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who developed an interest in drawing and arts and crafts from a young age. She began attending art classes at eight years old, where her creativity was nurtured. Over time, her practice evolved from early experimentation into expressive impasto painting, reflecting her growing confidence in exploring materials, texture and form.
