The batik painting, created by the eight artists from Arts@Metta, unfolds a whimsical scene of hot air balloons gliding gracefully over a carnival, where animals dance in joyful pursuit of their dreams. The balloons, rising towards the sky, carry with them the essence of hope — an embodiment of the belief that dreams, no matter how far, can come true. With each stroke of wax and splash of colour, the artists weave their hearts into this vibrant tribute, inspired by Singapore’s 60th anniversary. Through their work, they express their vision of Singapore, a safe and welcoming sanctuary where hopes are nurtured, and every dream has the chance to take flight.
