Double Wellness

"Double Wellness" beautifully presents a harmonious arrangement of fruit and flowers on a soft surface. At the centre sits a decorative bowl overflowing with ripe strawberries, their rich red tones accented by hints of green, adding a burst of freshness. To the right, an elegant purple vase cradles a bouquet of bright yellow flowers, whose vivid tones provide a striking contrast and uplift the scene with a touch of warmth. The softly painted background bathes the entire setting in a gentle, golden glow. Executed in a gentle, impressionistic style, the painting features smooth brushstrokes and subtle colour blending, creating a serene and balanced atmosphere.

About

Zhang Kaini was a Mandarin teacher in Singapore before a car accident left her paralysed from the shoulders down. Refusing to be defeated by her circumstances, she taught herself to paint by holding a brush between her teeth. With remarkable focus and determination, she made rapid progress and soon began earning a living through her art. Today, her intricate and expressive paintings of the natural world are highly sought after. As a full-time artist and member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Worldwide (MFPA), Kaini continues to inspire others, especially Person with Disabilities (PWDs), through her resilience and creative spirit.
