Built in 1958, Dakota Crescent is one of Singapore’s oldest public housing estates, rich in character and history. Its unique "Butterfly Block" architecture and iconic “Dove Playground” reflect a design era from the colonial period, offering a glimpse into the early days of Singapore’s development. Beyond the buildings, this estate was home to close-knit communities and shared memories. Its charm and heritage have inspired many residents and advocates to campaign for its preservation, celebrating its distinctive architecture and the meaningful stories it holds.

After a life-changing car accident in 2005 that left her with C6 spinal cord injury, Christina Lau discovered new ways to express herself through art. Despite being paralysed from her chest down and the loss of finger movements, she transformed her journey from Prison Officer to artist, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Through her artwork, she continues to share her unique perspective, proving that creativity knows no physical bounds.
