In "Pieces of Sweetness", the mosaic-inspired artwork transforms two strawberries into a vibrant and playful composition. The fragmented squares symbolize how small pieces come together to create something beautiful, capturing joy, creativity, and sweetness through bold colors and expressive shapes. The artist, Alawiyah, similarly hopes from her artwork, viewers recognise how small moments in life collectively amount to bundles of joy.
About
Alawiyah, who has Cerebral Palsy, discovered her love for art through simple drawing exercises that break images into basic shapes. This approach built her confidence and enjoyment in creating. She is drawn to playful subjects such as cats, strawberries and the colour pink, and enjoys doodling as a form of imagination. She continues to explore techniques such as painting and stamping, expanding her creative skills and expression.
