By Hooi Ji Woo Celine, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore School (CPAS School)
This bold artwork draws inspiration from Singapore's iconic ferris wheel and the vibrant, enduring spirit of the city it represents. Flowing patterns and layered textures evoke a sense of movement. The artist ventures into a creative exploration of line and shape, playing thoughtfully with the negative and positive space of the city's silhouette to build visual tension and depth. Through expressive colours and dynamic forms, the piece captures the energy, pride, and distinct identity of the Lion City with both conviction and flair.
About
Celine, who has cerebral palsy (CP), discovered her passion for drawing through art classes outside of school hours, where her interest in colours, forms and different styles gradually developed into a deeper creative practice. Through continued exploration, she has built confidence and found in art a meaningful space for expression, imagination and personal growth.
