This bold artwork is inspired by Singapore’s iconic Merlion and the vibrant spirit of the city. Flowing patterns and layered textures reflect movement, growth, and resilience, while strong contrasts symbolise Singapore’s journey from a small port to a modern global city. The artist also creatively utilised lines and shapes, playing with negative and positive spaces of the city's silhouette. The piece captures the energy, pride, and identity of the Lion City through expressive colors and dynamic forms.
About
Adam, living with Muscular Dystrophy (MD), discovered his passion for drawing at a young age, spending hours sketching and doodling at home. Encouraged by his mother, who gifted him his first drawing book, he began exploring his creativity through lines, shapes, and colours. What started as a simple pastime soon grew into a deep passion for art and self-expression. Today, his work reflects years of curiosity, experimentation, and a growing appreciation for the power of visual storytelling.
