This artwork celebrates the iconic Singapore dragon playground, a symbol of shared memories and multicultural childhood experiences. Rendered in bold lines and vibrant mosaic colours, the dragon emerges as both a mythical guardian and a playful structure that once shaped everyday life in public housing estates. The children gather on the bridge, evoking camaraderie, curiosity, and the joyful freedom of play. The energetic colour palette reflects the warmth and diversity of the community, while the stylised composition bridges nostalgia and modern expression.

Bing Yao, who has Cerebral Palsy, discovered his passion for art after joining the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS) Goodwill, Rehabilitation & Occupational Workshop (GROW) in 2010. Inspired by the energy and vibrancy of city life, he creates urban landscapes characterised by bold colours and striking compositions. Though non-verbal, Bing Yao communicates powerfully through his artwork, expressing his unique perspective with confidence and creativity. Known for his cheerful and friendly nature, he has built many meaningful connections, both through his art and within the workshop community.
