Play Without Barriers

This artwork celebrates Singapore's inclusive playgrounds as spaces where play is shared freely with every child, regardless of ability. Set against a bright green field and a familiar urban skyline, children of different abilities are seen swinging, reaching, rolling, and supporting one another, with numbered shirts offering a subtle nod to individuality within a larger community. Henry reimagines play equipment as common ground where differences dissolve and collaboration flourishes, reflecting the belief that playgrounds are where empathy, friendship, and understanding are first learned.

About

Henry discovered his interest in art after joining Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore - Goodwill, Rehabilitation & Occupational Workshop (CPAS-GROW) in 2018 as part of the GROW art team. Art has since become a meaningful way for him to express his thoughts and emotions, while developing skills in colour mixing, contrast and handicraft-making. He takes great pride in his creative work and finds joy in knowing that his artworks contribute to charitable causes.
