"Celebrate" aims to capture the vibrant energy of a traditional Chinese dragon dance. The dragon dance, associated with warding off evil and ushering in good luck, is a deep-rooted practice in Chinese culture. Performers clad in striking red costumes with golden accents guide the undulating dragon with poles. The dragon, adorned with vivid yellow and orange scales and expressive features, is made to appear lively and animated through movement and rhythm. Behind the spectacle, soft, swirling hues fill the background, evoking a festive and dynamic atmosphere. ‘Celebrate’ is a joyous tribute to cultural heritage, a lively portrayal of tradition, unity, and celebration in motion.

Zhang Kaini was a Mandarin teacher in Singapore before a car accident left her paralysed from the shoulders down. Refusing to be defeated by her circumstances, she taught herself to paint by holding a brush between her teeth. With remarkable focus and determination, she made rapid progress and soon began earning a living through her art. Today, her intricate and expressive paintings of the natural world are highly sought after. As a full-time artist and member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Worldwide (MFPA), Kaini continues to inspire others, especially Person with Disabilities (PWDs), through her resilience and creative spirit.
