This painting portrays the artist's time at MacRitchie Reservoir, a place she holds close to her heart. She paints the water, bridge, and surrounding greenery as she has experienced them across many cherished visits, capturing the reservoir's gentle, unhurried atmosphere with quiet affection. It is a place where she has walked, shared picnics by the water, and practised meditation with family and friends; a sanctuary that offers both connection and calm. The serenity of the place, and its power to offer respite inspired the artist to immortalise the scene's peaceful spirit in paint.

Sabrina, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other mental health challenges, began her artistic journey through drawing sessions and art classes at the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH). She later pursued private painting lessons for seven years, focusing on acrylic painting and developing her artistic voice. Art has since become a meaningful outlet for expressing her thoughts, emotions and lived experiences, while supporting her ongoing journey of reflection, creativity and personal growth.
