"Beneath the Ocean Veil" unveils a dreamlike underwater world where mystery and serenity intertwine. At the heart of the scene, a graceful mermaid drifts through cascading light and gentle ocean currents. Her vivid red hair flows like seaweed in motion, while her delicate blue attire shimmers beneath the watery veil above. Surrounding her, schools of fish swirl and marine flora bloom in lush, textured detail. Through this piece, Kai Ching explores the quiet strength and beauty that lie within the hidden depths of the sea. Her non-verbal voice finds expression through brushwork, layering emotion and imagination into every stroke. The result is a mesmerising journey into a world where silence speaks, and colour becomes a language of its own.

Kai Chin, who has Intellectual Disability and Hearing iImpairment, is a vibrant artist who expresses her emotions through colour and texture, using art as her voice. Despite being non-verbal, her work invites viewers into a world of imagination and hope. A proud moment in her journey was the sale of her rendition of Starry Night at the 2024 Shaping Hearts Exhibition. Always eager to explore, she has also ventured into nail art, reflecting her growth and passion for creativity.
