Playful Paths

"Playful Paths" maps out the elements of a living space in a flat, diagrammatic style that strips each object of depth and shadow, rendering everything as part of the same unhurried visual inventory. Coloured blobs at the centre introduce warmth and a touch of the unexpected into an otherwise methodical arrangement. It reflects an artist with a documentarian's instinct, finding quiet order in cataloguing the familiar objects and spaces of daily life. The work is patient, unsentimental, and quietly compelling.

About

Tian Bao is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who discovered his interest in art at a young age through doodling and colouring. With encouragement from his parents and art enrichment classes, he developed his practice from simple shapes into more detailed compositions. His drawings often feature everyday subjects such as doors, flowers, vegetables, Chinese characters and portraits, reflecting his growing observation skills and imagination.
