Hidden Corners of Play

"Hidden Corners of Play" is a quietly intimate rendering of a personal interior space, drawn in fine, precise lines that trace the contours of a wardrobe door, doorways, and the small objects that populate a lived-in room. The palette is restrained, predominantly grey and white with only the faintest touches of colour, allowing the delicate linework to carry the full weight of the composition. There is a stillness to the scene that feels both familiar and contemplative, like a page from a private visual diary. It reflects an artist with a sharp and attentive eye, finding quiet poetry in the overlooked details of everyday domestic life.

About

Tian Bao is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who discovered his interest in art at a young age through doodling and colouring. With encouragement from his parents and art enrichment classes, he developed his practice from simple shapes into more detailed compositions. His drawings often feature everyday subjects such as doors, flowers, vegetables, Chinese characters and portraits, reflecting his growing observation skills and imagination.
