In "People in My Class", Haziq draws the vibrant world of his classroom. The energy is playful and communal, each character rendered in the artist's signature bold palette of orange, green, pink, blue, and yellow, demonstrating his assured command of complementary and contrasting colour. As with his other works, each figure is given its own distinct personality through patterned faces and expressive eyes, revealing the care with which the artist observes and celebrates the individual qualities of those closest to him.

About

Haziq, an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), enjoys exploring art and expressing his creativity in his everyday life. Given any drawing tool, he is able to transform almost any surface into a space for his imagination and ideas. He enjoys experimenting with lines, shapes and colours, creating artworks that reflect his curiosity and unique way of seeing the world. His enthusiasm for drawing allows him to express himself freely while continuing to build his confidence and artistic skills.
