This vibrant artwork captures the joy and excitement of play through bold colours, expressive characters and energetic movement. Inspired by playful moments at the playground and water play activities, Kyra fills the page with smiling figures, floating shapes and lively scenes. From splashing in the pool to exploring playground spaces, Kyra shows play as a shared language of fun, friendship and belonging. These moments of play can create joy, confidence and meaningful connections with others.
About
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Kyra began drawing at the age of five, using art as a way to express what she enjoys, observes and imagines. Over time, her teachers and family recognised her strong inclination towards creating colourful characters and playful scenes, often inspired by her learning experiences and everyday surroundings. Drawing has since become a meaningful form of self-expression for Kyra, offering her a space to share her thoughts, creativity and joyful spirit through art.
