This artwork explores play through expression, imagination and personality. Each character has its own unique face, accessories and emotions, creating the feeling of a lively group of friends. Some appear excited, cheeky or silly, while others look calm or curious, reflecting the different ways people express themselves during play. Kyra enjoyed experimenting with facial expressions, colours and small details to make every character feel special and full of life. Together, the characters capture the joy of being playful, creative and connected through shared moments of fun.
About
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Kyra began drawing at the age of five, using art as a way to express what she enjoys, observes and imagines. Over time, her teachers and family recognised her strong inclination towards creating colourful characters and playful scenes, often inspired by her learning experiences and everyday surroundings. Drawing has since become a meaningful form of self-expression for Kyra, offering her a space to share her thoughts, creativity and joyful spirit through art.
