The Secret Meadow

The artist imagines a meadow in full and joyful bloom, with layered shades of green that shift from light lime to deep forest tones and overlapping strokes that give the ground a lively energy. Scattered throughout are oversized flowers in bold and cheerful colours, each one with their own distinct character and presence. The flowers feel like imagined beings inhabiting a world filled with creativity rather than nature. It is a work that finds a hidden and extraordinary meadow flourishing quietly within the city.

Through art lessons at school, Ahsharafudin, an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), has explored a variety of tools and techniques, developing his practice at a pace that feels right for him. Guided by curiosity, he experiments freely in his creative process, where mistakes are not seen as failure but as part of discovery. As he continues to paint, Ahsharafudin grows in confidence, gradually expressing himself more openly and discovering his own unique artistic voice.
