Inspired by memories of playing outdoors with family, friends, and neighbours, the artist expresses the joy of shared imagination where ordinary spaces become exciting wonder-filled worlds. The gentle giraffes standing between familiar neighbourhood buildings create a sense of warmth, connection, and curiosity, reminding viewers how play bonds people across different backgrounds and generations. This colourful and cheerful composition celebrates community, togetherness, and the simple happiness found in imagining and exploring together.

Hui Zhen is a passionate artist with a learning disability who has turned her challenges into a journey of creativity and self-expression. Art serves as her refuge, allowing her to communicate visually and share her unique perspective.

She began with canvas painting before exploring digital art, where she discovered new ways to express ideas and emotions. Inspired by nature’s textures and patterns, Hui Zhen adds depth and sensitivity to her work. Through animation, she continues to explore movement and storytelling as part of her creative practice.
