Sijun brings new life to simple everyday objects, painting vases, teapots, cups, and fruit in bright colours and playful patterns adorns with flowers, birds, and small decorative shapes, making each object feel cheerful and full of personality. At the heart of his work is his love for tea time. He enjoys those unhurried moments of sitting together, sharing food and drink, and finding comfort in a calm routine. For Sijun, play is gentle and slow. It can be found in the careful arrangement of objects, the joy of colours, and the warmth of being together.

About

Sijun is a cheerful boy with Down syndrome and a Congenital Heart Defect who finds joy in painting vibrant, colourful scenes. Despite challenges with speech, vision and motor skills, he paints with patience and determination, carefully building each canvas stroke by stroke.

Beyond painting, Sijun enjoys designing dream homes on his iPad and aspires to study interior design one day, hoping to create beautiful spaces that bring joy, just like the colours in his artwork.
