Lion in the City

"Lion in the City" reflects Zhong Han’s fascination with Singapore as a city that comes alive after sunset. Mesmerised by the iconic vibrant skyline against the dark sky and the water mirroring its metropolitan architecture, the artist captures the energy and beauty of Singapore at night with thoughtful strokes. In the foreground, a little lion overlooks the enchanting skyline with pride, a nod to Singapore’s nickname “Lion City”. Zhong Han hopes that while looking at his artwork, viewers also share his warmth, excitement and pride that he feels whenever he looks at Singapore's skyline at night.

Lim Zhong Han is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who nurtured his passion for art during his time at Pathlight School. Selected for the Artist Development Programme (ADP), he had the opportunity to deepen his artistic practice through guidance from professional artists. His work reflects his growing confidence as an artist and his individual perspective on the world around him.
