Drawn to classical art and captivated by the beauty of light and shadow, Joshua created this striking monochrome composition. He carefully arranged simple vessels and forms, focusing entirely on how brightness and depth shape what we see. Working only in black, white and grey was a demanding yet rewarding challenge, requiring careful observation and steady skill. Every brushstroke was shaped by his effort to capture subtle shifts in tone and soft, flowing contours. This work reflects his dedication to mastering the basics and growing confidently as an artist.

Joshua is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who developed his artistic talents while studying at Pathlight School. Recognised for his creative potential, he was invited to join the Artist Development Programme (ADP), where he honed his skills under the mentorship of professional artists. His work reflects a distinctive creative voice and unique perspective.
