While having dinner at Mersing, a quiet coastal town in Malaysia, Wen Xi was deeply captivated by the soft, cloudy sky and the gentle serenity of the place. She watched light waves lap softly against the weathered fishing boats resting along the shore, their stillness reflecting the slow, quiet rhythm of life here. Through bold, expressive brushstrokes and rich, earthy tones, the artist captures that exact feeling of calm, preserving a quiet moment where time seems to slow down and the beauty of simple, unhurried nature fills the heart.

Tang Wen Xi, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a student of Pathlight School and an Artist Development Programme (ADP) participant. Established in 2011, ADP provides students with opportunities to develop their artistic potential through mentorship and guided exploration with professional artists. Through this experience, Wen Xi continues to refine his skills, explore creative techniques and build confidence in his artistic expression.
