Otter Space

"Otter Space" is Selena’s playful exploration of different worlds converging into one. Inspired by the coexistence of animals and nature beyond their usual environments, this whimsical artwork features otters gently interacting gently with their surroundings and each other. Around them are two vastly different habitats, a pond and the solar system. The transition from the underwater world to the galaxy above shows my curiosity about both nature and the unknown. The artist invites viewers to keenly discover hidden stories in the artwork, evoking a playful feeling within.

About

Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Selena studied at Pathlight School and joined the Artist Development Programme (ADP), an initiative launched in 2011 to identify and nurture young artistic talent. Through the programme, she worked closely with professional artists who guided her creative development and encouraged her to explore different techniques and approaches. This experience allowed Selena to strengthen her artistic skills, build confidence in her creative voice, and continue developing her own unique style of expression.
