This commanding work portrays a Philippine Eagle perched upon a branch with the quiet authority of a true apex predator, its fierce, penetrating eyes speaking to its dominion over the land. Rays of sunlight fall upon its form with cinematic drama, while a single drifting feather suggests the eagle has only just landed, its great wings folding after a graceful descent. The artist places the national bird at the centre of the composition, adorning it with crystals and experimenting with transparent water droplet stickers and crystal effects to create a piece that is as striking as it is reverential. It is a portrait of power rendered with genuine pride and devotion.
