This commanding work portrays a Philippine Eagle perched upon a branch with the quiet authority of a true apex predator, its fierce, penetrating eyes speaking to its dominion over the land. Rays of sunlight fall upon its form with cinematic drama, while a single drifting feather suggests the eagle has only just landed, its great wings folding after a graceful descent. The artist places the national bird at the centre of the composition, adorning it with crystals and experimenting with transparent water droplet stickers and crystal effects to create a piece that is as striking as it is reverential. It is a portrait of power rendered with genuine pride and devotion.

Jimenez Marzel Grace Eguia, an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), studied at Pathlight School and was invited to join the Artist Development Programme (ADP), where his artistic journey continued to grow.
