Raymond Lau is an artist with Tourette Syndrome (TS) and belongs to a new generation of Singaporean artists contributing to the city-state’s evolution into a Renaissance City. A vocal and expressive individual, he views painting as a therapeutic process that brings him peace and fulfilment. His extensive body of realist and abstract works reveals a gentler, more introspective side to his outgoing personality. His achievements include the UOB Painting of the Year 1993 and the Young Artist Award 2001, and his practice continues to reflect a lifelong commitment to artistic exploration and expression.
