Wei Kong's artwork presents the hornet bee as a commanding symbolic subject, rendered in an expressive and interpretive style that resists literal depiction. About

Lee Wei Kong is an artist with speech impairment and a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts who is now a full-time painter. After a road accident in 2005, he returned to art under the guidance of a mentor, using painting to process his lived experience. His work has evolved from themes of struggle and isolation to reflection, resilience and personal growth. He has exhibited widely, including a sold-out solo exhibition at ACS (I), where his entire collection was sold.
