Kim Ngoh, who lives with Poliomyelitis (Polio), graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1970, specialising in watercolour painting, and later earned a second Diploma in oil painting from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Canada, in 1980. Based in Singapore, she works full-time from her home studio, producing vivid works inspired by memories of old Malay kampungs and the simplicity of Singapore’s past. Her achievements include the Phillip Morris ASEAN Art Distinction Award (1998) and the Very Special Arts Gold Award (2000), along with corporate commissions for The American Club and The Plaza Fitness and Spa.
