Garden Companions

"Garden Companions", by Suriya, features two birds perched on a branch, surrounded by blooming flowers. The delicate flowers and saplings stretch over the two birds, as if sheltering the birds. Under the graceful petals, the birds stand side-by-side-, in companionship. The artist hopes to inspire viewers to appreciate the quiet beauty of flora and fauna in harmony.

For Suriya, art is both a creative outlet and a space for exploration. A 15-year-old student at APSN Katong School with Learning Disability, he enjoys drawing and painting, approaching each piece with focus and persistence. His commitment to the creative process allows him to steadily develop his skills, while his growing confidence is reflected in the care and attention he brings to his work.
