By Chua Kian Sian Shane, Rainbow Centre Singapore
"A Portal Through Nature" features three distinctive architectural landmarks: the Seletar Rocket Tower, Lorong Halus Bridge, and the Kingfisher Pod at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, artfully juxtaposed to create a dreamlike sense of transition through nature’s wonders. By bringing these structures together in a single, fantastical composition, Shane explores the idea of experiencing Singapore’s natural landscapes in a seamless, uninterrupted journey. The work reflects a curiosity not just about place, but about how we move through and connect with the natural world around us, where architecture and environment merge into a shared experience of wonder.
