A Journey Together

"A Journey Together" frames a serene forest scene, where a winding path leads gently into a lush, green woodland. Tall trees with sturdy trunks surround the path like quiet guardians, their leafy branches arch overhead to form a natural canopy. Fractured sunlight manages to seep through, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow across the forest floor. A couple strolls down the path, their figures small and softened, adding both depth and a sense of stillness to the scene. With soft, blended brushstrokes in earthy greens, warm browns, and golden hues, Zhang aims to evoke the gentle rhythm of nature. Encapsulating a moment of peace suspended in time.

About

Zhang Kaini was a Mandarin teacher in Singapore before a car accident left her paralysed from the shoulders down. Refusing to be defeated by her circumstances, she taught herself to paint by holding a brush between her teeth. With remarkable focus and determination, she made rapid progress and soon began earning a living through her art. Today, her intricate and expressive paintings of the natural world are highly sought after. As a full-time artist and member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Worldwide (MFPA), Kaini continues to inspire others, especially Person with Disabilities (PWDs), through her resilience and creative spirit.
