By Alex Lim
In this mixed-media piece, the artist reimagines Singapore’s heartlands as a dreamy Eden, where HDB blocks rise amid lush, exuberant flora and fauna. Acrylics, glitter, mirrors, and thick impasto clouds come together to create a jubilant celebration of everyday life. A flying egret soars above rainbow-hued buildings, while striped leaves and playful birds bring the scene below to life. The artist captures the quiet magic of urban living, where nature and community harmoniously coexist and thrive together.
